Dear Lovejoy Community:

As a former Lovejoy ISD Board member, I will be supporting Marvin Bobo in the upcoming Lovejoy ISD Board member election.  Since Marvin and his wife, Alysia, moved to the Lovejoy community in 2005, they have been great supporters of areas within the community that include academic, sports, fine arts, scouts and religious events.  They have always been great cheerleaders for their own children but they also invest time in other’s children, which is truly an admirable quality.

As defined by the Texas Association of School Boards the main function of the school board is to provide local citizen governance and oversight of education.  The School boards responsibilities include adopting goals and priorities as well as monitoring successes, adopting policies and reviewing them periodically for effectiveness, hiring and evaluating the superintendent, adopting a budget as well as setting a tax rate and communicating with the community.  This role involves a great responsibility to the community.  I have worked with Marvin in the past on community events and I have witnessed Marvin’s work ethic firsthand.  I firmly believe Marvin would be an excellent board member and would serve his community well.

I hope you will join me in voting for Marvin Bobo for Lovejoy ISD Board Member.

Sincerely
